Job Title: Producer
Summary: To market and sell insurance through effective sales techniques and good customer service by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Contacts prospective clients via telephone and/or mail to develop them as new clients with follow-up as needed.
- Provides price quotes and insurance policy information to all new and existing clients as requested.
- Takes orders, relates new product information and receives feedback on the company's products and services.
- Delivers financial agreements immediately upon receiving them.
- Prepares monthly expense reports, new business prospects and applications.
- Updates all client data and "client notes" on computer system daily.
- Attends outside agency functions, seminars or training programs, banquets and other meetings as required.
- Verifies coverage and premiums on new business with follow-up prior to delivery.
- Maintains personal filing and routing slip requests as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Maintains established weekly and monthly goals for various lines of insurance as required.
- Prepares applications, proposals and marketing activity summary reports.
- Attends outside agency functions, seminars or training programs, banquets and other meetings as required.
- Verifies coverage and premiums on new business with follow-up prior to delivery.
