We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented Business Development Representative with experience in the direct mail printing industry. This role is ideal for a driven professional who thrives on generating new business and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities or Essential Functions:
- Drive new business growth by meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline—from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals.
- Conduct outreach through research, calls, and email to identify and engage new opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with company goals and revenue objectives.
- Negotiate contracts that maximize profitability while delivering strong customer value.
- Grow and support existing client relationships by identifying additional opportunities and ensuring ongoing satisfaction.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Estimating, Scheduling, and Production teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to generate leads and expand market presence.
- Provide leadership with insights on industry trends, customer needs, and potential new services or solutions.
- Maintain accurate CRM data and provide consistent reporting on sales activity and progress.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office/ print shop setting.
Expected Hours of Work
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel
10-25% domestic/local travel is expected for this position
Education, Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven business development experience in the direct mail printing industry.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of printing materials, processes, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Creative problem-solver with the ability to assist clients with layout and production considerations when needed.
- Highly motivated, results-driven, and self-directed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and value-based selling skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and with external partners.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset.
