Senior Marketing & Business Development Lead
Position Summary
MCA Financial Group is a respected national boutique advisory firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. The firm provides a broad range of advisory services, including turnaround and restructuring, business valuation, capital formation and refinancing, litigation support and expert testimony, M&A, real estate receiverships, and related services tailored to client needs.
MCA Financial Group is seeking a Senior Marketing & Business Development Lead to own and advance the firm’s marketing and business development platform, partnering closely with firm leadership to support growth and strengthen the firm’s market presence. This role is central to the firm’s growth and brand strategy, with responsibility for strengthening market positioning, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring the quality and consistency of all client-facing communications. The successful candidate will bring strong strategic judgment, hands-on execution capabilities, exceptional writing skills, and deep experience with CRM and marketing infrastructure.

Work Description
Strategic Marketing & Positioning
· Partner with firm leadership to refine and clearly articulate the firm’s market positioning, service offerings, and value proposition.
· Lead the development and ongoing evolution of the firm’s marketing and business development strategy, ensuring alignment with growth priorities.
· Translate complex financial and advisory concepts into clear, credible, and compelling messaging for sophisticated clients and referral sources.
Content Development & Thought Leadership
· Lead the creation, editing, and management of website content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and professional tone.
· Develop high-quality client-facing and business development materials, including:
o Qualifications packages
o Pitch books and proposals
o Case studies, white papers, and thought leadership pieces
· Produce and oversee newsletters, market updates, and firm communications, maintaining consistency and compliance sensitivity.
· Establish and manage content calendars, publication schedules, and editorial workflows.
Business Development Support
· Serve as a strategic partner to senior advisors in business development and client relationship initiatives.
· Lead preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and customized client presentations.
· Support relationship management efforts through targeted communications and tailored materials for prospects, clients, and referral partners.
CRM & Marketing Infrastructure
· Own and manage the firm’s CRM platform, including data integrity, segmentation, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
· Design and execute CRM-driven outreach and email campaigns aligned with business development objectives.
· Develop dashboards and reporting to track engagement, pipeline activity, and marketing effectiveness.
Brand Stewardship & External Coordination
· Serve as steward of the firm’s brand, ensuring consistency and quality across all.
· Maintain the editorial, design, and messaging standards expected of a senior advisory firm.
· Manage relationships with external vendors, including designers, web developers, and marketing or PR consultants, as needed.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications a plus.
· 7 years of progressive experience in marketing, business development, or client development roles within financial advisory, investment banking, restructuring, consulting, accounting, private equity, or other professional services firms.
· Demonstrated experience supporting senior advisors, partners, or deal professionals in a relationship-driven, services-based business.
· Proven ability to develop and manage business development materials, including pitch books, proposals, RFP responses, qualifications packages, and client presentations.
· Exceptional writing, editing, and messaging skills, with a track record of translating complex financial, transactional, or advisory topics into clear, credible communications for sophisticated audiences.
· Hands-on experience owning and administering a CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot or similar), including data management, segmentation, pipeline tracking, reporting, and campaign execution.
· Experience designing and executing targeted marketing and outreach campaigns in support of business development and relationship management efforts.
· Demonstrated ability to oversee website content, digital assets, and brand standards, working effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential information.
· Comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy, sound judgment, and professionalism in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
