Groundman/ Laborer Heavy Equipment experience

Job Overview
We are seeking laborer with underground construction knowledge to join our team, responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and residential utility installation. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of work while adhering to safety protocols. This job will require travel to different job site locations surrounding the treasure valley area.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining grade with a grade rod, running pipe to trenches, shoveling and digging.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Safely transport materials using dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and front loader trucks.
• Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating equipment.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Experience

• Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Experience with commercial driving and operating various types of heavy machinery including Caterpillar equipment is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with farm machinery operation is a plus.
• Proven ability to operate dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker vehicles effectively.
