Job Summary:

Reporting to the IT Director, the IT Operations Manager is a hands-on technical leader responsible for the stability, security, scalability, and day-to-day operation of MC’s enterprise IT environment. This working manager role owns infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, security, identity, and end-user services while directly managing IT support staff and serving as the primary technical escalation point. The role combines operational leadership with deep technical execution across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. As the IT Operations Manager, you will be expected to provide comprehensive, hands-on support for all helpdesk and IT operational needs across the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities -

End-User Support & IT Operations:

  • Own day-to-day IT operations, service continuity, and end-user experience across the organization.
  • Deliver high-quality support services while acting as escalation for complex technical issues.
  • Establish service standards, SLAs, and operational best practices aligned with ITIL principles.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and reliability using enterprise observability tools.

Systems, Identity & Endpoint Management:

  • Administer Microsoft 365, Azure / Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, enterprise applications, VOIP, and collaboration platforms.
  • Implement and maintain Zero Trust identity architecture including SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, and Privileged Access Management.
  • Manage user lifecycle processes, access governance, and identity security controls.
  • Oversee endpoint management using Intune/MDM, Autopilot provisioning, patching, and device lifecycle controls across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms.
  • Maintain asset inventory, configuration baselines, and endpoint compliance.

Infrastructure, Virtualization & Networking:

  • Own availability, performance, and scalability of hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Design, deploy, and administer virtualization platforms, cloud workloads, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation practices where applicable.
  • Support containerized and serverless workloads as business needs evolve.
  • Manage storage, backup, replication, and business continuity strategies aligned to RTO/RPO targets.

Networking & Connectivity:

  • Operate and secure enterprise network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, wireless, and remote connectivity.
  • Support SD-WAN, network segmentation, and secure remote access solutions.
  • Ensure reliable DNS, DHCP, IP management, and network performance optimization.
  • Maintain VoIP/SIP systems, QoS policies, and conferencing infrastructure.

Security, Risk & Compliance:

  • Lead operational cybersecurity efforts including vulnerability management, endpoint protection, and threat detection.
  • Administer security platforms such as EDR/XDR, SIEM, DLP, and email security solutions.
  • Implement system hardening aligned with CIS/NIST best practices.
  • Support audits and compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI as applicable).
  • Coordinate incident response, forensic support, and security awareness initiatives.

Automation & Systems Integration:

  • Develop automation using PowerShell, scripting, and API integrations to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Streamline provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Support integrations between enterprise systems, cloud services, and business applications.
  • Enable scalable data handling for analytics platforms, imaging systems, and drone-generated datasets.

Projects, Vendors & Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead infrastructure initiatives including upgrades, migrations, cloud adoption, and BCDR implementation.
  • Coordinate vendors and service providers for procurement, licensing, and technical support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, security posture, and cost efficiency.

Leadership, Training & Escalation:

  • Directly manage, mentor, and develop IT support staff.
  • Establish clear escalation paths and operational accountability.
  • Oversee onboarding/offboarding processes and user enablement programs.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for critical incidents and infrastructure issues.

Planning, Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
  • Present operational metrics, risks, incidents, and improvement plans to leadership.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, application teams, and business units to align technology solutions.

Coverage & Flexibility:

  • Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and critical incident response.
  • Travel up to 10% to support remote offices, projects, deployments, and company events.
  • Perform other duties as required to support organizational needs.

Technologies:

Microsoft 365, Azure / Entra ID, Azure Virtual Desktop, AWS, Windows Server, Active Directory, Intune / Endpoint Manager, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Backup & DR (Veeam, Azure Backup), Enterprise Networking (Fortinet, Cisco, Ubiquiti, SD-WAN), Zero Trust Security, SIEM/XDR, EDR, DLP, Identity & Access Management, PowerShell & Automation, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep), Containers (Docker/Kubernetes), VoIP / SIP (Zoom PBX), Egnyte, Sage, Intuit, ACT CRM, BQE Core, WordPress, Construction & litigation systems, imaging platforms, drone data systems, large-scale data environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Progressive experience across enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven hands-on leadership managing technical teams and complex environments.
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Azure, VMware, CCNA, Security , etc.) preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 (based on experience, certifications, and leadership background)

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, standard business hours (8-hour workday), with flexibility to support after-hours maintenance, upgrades, and critical incident response as needed.

Location:

  • Altamonte, FL (On-site / Hybrid as required)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 50 lbs. Assist with workstation setups, cabling, and equipment relocations as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
