Workwell Occupational Medicine, LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Loveland! Workwell Occupational Medicine, LLC is a specialized medical provider that treats work-related injuries and provides occupational health services for employees of our business clients. We have eight welcoming, comfortable walk-in clinics in Northern Colorado and the Denver Metro area with medical providers who are ready to treat employees with an on-the-job injury or illness.
This is a full-time position that will be regularly scheduled to work Monday - Friday, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Starting wage range is $18.00 - $20.00/hr., DOE Candidate must be willing and able to travel to multiple clinics as needed.
Job Duties & Tasks
- Physical Exams
- Vital Signs
- Urgent Care
- Titmus Exams
- Audiograms
- Breath Alcohol Testing/Drug Screens: Hold current certification in Breath Alcohol Testing and DOT urine drug screen testing (within 60 days of start)
- Pulmonary Function Tests
- EKG
- Venipuncture
- Inoculations/immunizations
- Pick-up’s- Call and schedule pick up for labs
- Pharmacy
- Inventories: Responsible for keeping accurate inventory of clinical supplies
- Billing: Prepare and submit charges for all procedures performed by the Medical Assistant (drug Screens, physicals, vaccines, etc.).
- Patient greeting
- Answer Phones
- Scheduling
- Manage all work comp visits
- Faxing or email: All m-forms and dictation when required or insurance / employer’s requests
- Filing
- Attachments: Attaches all scans and faxes to patients’ files.
- No-show follow- ups
- Reminder calls
- Prepare new patient charts for Physical Therapy
- Process Charts for Physical Therapy
- Pre- authorizations
- JSA/FCE: Responsible for calling insurance carrier and ask for authorization for JSA/FCE.
- Consults, X-rays, etc.: Obtains reports from referring providers. Have ready for patients follow up.
- Signature: Make sure that a provider signs off on any paperwork that is required (M-form form Nurse Practitioner)
- Waiting room: Keep office and waiting room clean
- Billing: Make sure to receive completed billing for all services performed and turned into billing, this includes to enter all charges into the system.
- Medical Records: Request records from other facilities upon provider’s request.
- Re-Calls: Runs re-calls reports.
- Other duties as assigned
Work Hours
Clinic hours are approximately 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday. Hours are dependent on business and clinic needs.
Required Experience:
Education, Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Current certification/ registration from a recognized Medical Assistant Training Program required.
- Current First Aid/ CPR certification from recognized program (American Red Cross, etc.) required.
- Certification for Federal and Non-Federal Drug Testing and Breath Alcohol Testing required or completed within first 60 days of employment.
- Spanish bi-lingual preferred
- 2 or more years of experience in a fast-paced medical office environment preferred
