Job Description:
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-minded Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing print marketing efforts for our products, as well as managing all facets of the product lifecycle. This includes inventory management, customer communication, segmentation analysis, taking ownership end-to-end, and use of sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end execution for assigned products, from planning through launch and post-launch follow-through, efficiently while ensuring deadlines are met and details don’t slip.
- Leverage traditional print marketing to drive successful campaigns and reach target audiences effectively and profitably. Apply strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyze marketing performance data, conduct segmentation analyses, and prepare strategic marketing plans for assigned products.
- Provide high-level creative direction and content guidance to graphic design teams and copywriters based on successful strategies and intended product positioning.
- Review creative materials for accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness. Make impactful edits and recommendations without over-polishing.
- Analyze demand to determine optimal order quantities and inventory levels.
- Analyze product costs to accurately price products per established guidelines.
- Coordinate shipping schedules, ensuring timely delivery to customers. Proactively address timeline risks, communicate changes, and manage product delays effectively.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes.
- Communicate effectively with various departments, including Customer Service, Fulfillment, Corporate Finance, and the Creative Studio, to ensure seamless operations.
- Proficiently navigate and utilize various technologies, including M365, Netsuite, Qlik, and homegrown systems.
- Learn quickly, put simple checks in place so the same mistakes don’t happen twice, know the difference between guidelines and rules, use judgment when something isn’t clear-cut, and ask when you’re not sure.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years' work experience in an execution-oriented role, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing high volumes of varied work with accuracy.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other relevant software tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills and conscientiousness, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to think analytically and solve problems creatively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable with a hybrid work schedule after an initial training period requiring regular onsite presence.
- High ownership, accountability, and consistent follow-through (does what’s needed to get the job done).
- Strong business relationship skills to effectively collaborate with various departments.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly in complex, multi-faceted roles and turn learning into reliable execution.
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a solid foundation in relevant areas of study.
