Experienced CNC Machinist - Part Time

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced CNC Machinist to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision metal and plastic components. Your expertise in machining tools, blueprint reading, and CNC programming will ensure high-quality production standards are met consistently. Duties

• Set up CNC machines including lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications and tolerances aligned with GD&T standards.
• Conduct quality inspections during and after machining processes using measurement tools to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications.
• Perform machine setup tasks including tooling selection, fixture installation, and calibration to optimize efficiency and precision.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 Years of CNC machining experience
• Must be able to write and edit simple G-code programs at the machine for Fadal CNC machining centers
• Must be able to write complete programs at the machine for a Hyundai Kia 2.5-axis CNC lathe
• Must be able to perform complete setups and prove out jobs
• Must be able to inspect your own work using standard precision measuring equipment
• Must be able to read blueprints and consistently hold close tolerances.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications for manufacturing parts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to machine operation.
• No CAM programming required--we handle all CAM programming in-house.
