We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced CNC Machinist to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision metal and plastic components. Duties
- Set up CNC machines including lathes and milling machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining specifications and tolerances aligned with GD&T standards.
- Conduct quality inspections during and after machining processes using measurement tools to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications.
- Perform machine setup tasks including tooling selection, fixture installation, and calibration to optimize efficiency and precision.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 Years of CNC machining experience
- Must be able to write and edit simple G-code programs at the machine for Fadal CNC machining centers
- Must be able to write complete programs at the machine for a Hyundai Kia 2.5-axis CNC lathe
- Must be able to perform complete setups and prove out jobs
- Must be able to inspect your own work using standard precision measuring equipment
- Must be able to read blueprints and consistently hold close tolerances.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications for manufacturing parts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to machine operation.
- No CAM programming required--we handle all CAM programming in-house.
