What You’ll Do
- Assemble and Fabricate: Use a range of tools and equipment to assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces, or products with utmost precision.
- Read & Interpret: Follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and other technical documents to ensure accurate assembly.
- Perform Quality Checks: Utilize hand-held tools and soldering equipment to complete tasks while maintaining high-quality standards and conducting thorough quality checks.
Job Duties
- Prepare and assemble sub-assemblies off of engineering prints
- Measurer and shimmer parts to the pass line
- Assemble and test roll forming equipment
- Keeps inventory of products in workstations maintained.
- Identifies product defects and completes appropriate documentation.
- Reworks or repairs assembled equipment and products, following engineering specification changes.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
Education
A high school diploma or GED preferred; trade school or military experience a plus
Experience & Skills
- Ability to read a tape measure and scale ruler
- Experience using power tools (drills, impact gun, arbor presses and pneumatics)
- Trouble shooting experience
- Use of standard SAE handtools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required
- Basic math skills are required
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
