Position Summary
The Installation Technician is a front-line team member with direct customer contact. In addition to technical skills, people skills are vital for effective customer relationship management and decision making.
Requirements
Education:
- A high school diploma or GED is required. Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline is a plus. Directly related job experience serving in a technical role, where experience and proven knowledge is required.
- 2 years minimum experience in a maintenance/technical position.
- Must have strong mechanical background and be able to quickly diagnose crane related problems and accurately propose effective solutions
- Proficient in electrical assembly, and power and controls knowledge of equipment used in the crane industry
- Proficient knowledge of the standards used in the crane industry for erecting and operating cranes.
- Willingness to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the crane industry
- Excellent people skills in order to communicate with customers and develop excellent customer relationships
- Ability to multi-task and set priorities
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen and E-verify
