Job Duties
1. Review, interpret and understand part numbers, instructions, and specifications of Sales Order Packages
2. Operate computers to perform Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system functions as well as UPS WorldShip and maintain shipping records
3. Prepare, complete and process necessary paperwork; enter ship quantities in the system
4. Plan, coordinate and schedule activities with various departments and outside carriers to meet scheduled ship dates
5. Participate in NTM – Being the Best Quality Program – to continually enhance department and organizational performance
6. Perform duties to establish Mazzella Quality Assurance Standards, report defective or substandard material, supplies, or products
7. Resolve shipping issues such as mis-shipments, shortages, damage, deliveries, and freight charges.
8. Manage incoming/outgoing calls regarding shipment of product including carriers, customer service, sales, and operations etc.
9. Accurately generate shipping documents, freight terms, and commercial invoices.
10. Investigate freight claims and provide disposition.
11. Oversee the prompt completion of all customers specific freight shipments and international orders.
12. Schedule carrier pick ups
13. Other duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma or GED preferred; trade school or military experience a plus
- Forklift experience preferred
- Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
- Requires solid written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude including basic troubleshooting skills
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills required
- Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy are required
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
- Team oriented with effective communication skills preferred
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision
- Detail oriented with the ability to inspect material for quality conformance using measuring devices and drawings
