JOB TITLE

Install Project Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the pre-install process including compiling approved content from authorized sources, updating content as necessary – assuring all information is current, entering the content provided into a manual, printing manuals, and executing appropriate distribution to customers in a timely manner with the objective of communicating/documenting all critical customer information required for the installation.
  • Conduct pre-planning meetings with customers to communicate project scope. Conduct sign off meetings with customers upon completion of project to ensure project has satisfactorily been completed.
  • Monitor Purchase orders and outside vendor ship dates meet requested ship dates.
  • Send all critical post sale documents including Certified Drawings, Pre-Install Checklist, Training Reservation Forms.
  • Confirm all critical post sale documents requiring signatures are signed by the customer and returned prior to installation or training including, Certified Drawings, Pre-Install Checklist, Training Reservation Forms to assure the customer understands their responsibilities prior to install and that documents protecting Mazak are read and returned by the customer.
  • Create an Installation Folder for each customer/serial number to maintain all current installation related documents to assure access to those involved in the installation process.
  • If the machine is to be delivered to Canada, obtain the customers customs broker information and a letter of entry for the installation engineer prior to shipment/installation.
  • If the machine is to be delivered to Mexico, obtain the customers broker information and letter of release for trucking if necessary.
  • Assist customer on facility/laser layout, utilities needed and go through installation process. Consistently communicate to ensure project stays on task and within scope.
  • Modify and explain automation drawings with customers and specifically go over utilities needed.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical blueprint reading and light editing within Autocad
  • Basic knowledge of CNC equipment
  • Proficient computer skill, knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite, CAD skills
  • Organizational, planning, and strategic thinking skills
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical information as presented in various manuals or electronic media
  • Understand blueprint representations and apply provided information to task at hand
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, judgment, and decision-making ability.

Conditions:

  • Normal office conditions. When not doing customer visits.
  • Up to 25% travel to customer facilities prior to installation.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of employees, customers, consultants, vendors.
  • Required to sit, use hands and fingers, feel, or reach with hands, arms, talk and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required, includes close, distance and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work somewhat close to other people, such as when sharing office space.
  • Proficient use of measuring tools and chalk reels for customer layouts.
  • Sometimes exposed to sounds and noise levels.

Education/Experience:

  • Required – Minimum of a Technical Associates Degree

- 3-5 years fabrication experience

  • Recommended – BS in technical field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
