What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power On Technician position at Mazak Corporation?
Mazak Corporation is looking for a Power On Technician to join the Assembly team. The Power On Technician will check machine basic functionality at machine turn on.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Checks for electrical short circuits
* Checks incoming voltage to the machine tool, and outgoing voltage from the control cabinet to the machine
* Loads and test standard parameter settings, checks PLC function
* Checks alarm circuits for correct wiring
* Checks tightness of wiring connections
* Reads electrical and pneumatic schematics
* Use of variety of small hand tools, voltmeter, and small power tools
* Electrical lock out tag out procedure
* Maintain clean and orderly work area
Education/Certification:
* High school diploma required
Skills:
* Experience with electrical wiring of machine tool
* Mechanical assembly experience
* Basic mechanical skills
* Use of hand tools
* Use of voltmeter
* Use of precision instruments
* Crane training
* Walk behind fork truck training
* Job required lifting a maximum of 50 lbs. three to four feet off the ground
* Full range of physical activities like kneeling, climbing, reaching, etc.
* Focus on safety and aware of surroundings
* Focus on completing tasks completely with no errors.
