Mazak Corporation is looking for a Power On Technician to join the Assembly team. The Power On Technician will check machine basic functionality at machine turn on.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Checks for electrical short circuits
- Checks incoming voltage to the machine tool, and outgoing voltage from the control cabinet to the machine
- Loads and test standard parameter settings, checks PLC function
- Checks alarm circuits for correct wiring
- Checks tightness of wiring connections
- Reads electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Use of variety of small hand tools, voltmeter, and small power tools
- Electrical lock out tag out procedure
- Maintain clean and orderly work area
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma required
Skills:
- Experience with electrical wiring of machine tool
- Mechanical assembly experience
- Basic mechanical skills
- Use of hand tools
- Use of voltmeter
- Use of precision instruments
- Crane training
- Walk behind fork truck training
- Job required lifting a maximum of 50 lbs. three to four feet off the ground
- Full range of physical activities like kneeling, climbing, reaching, etc.
- Focus on safety and aware of surroundings
- Focus on completing tasks completely with no errors.
