GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
- Perform assembly and packer operations of products manufactured in the Plastic Molding Department (PMD). Understands and performs daily job duties in a manner which supports the Company / Department SAFETY – QUALITY – PRODUCTION goals and objectives.
MAJOR TASKS – RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operation of the riveting machine
- Trimming of products
- Visual inspection of plastic products
- Packing of product
- Communicating issues with supervision and technical personnel
- Operating auxiliary equipment needed to produce finished goods and work in process (WIP)
- Staplers
- Carton Sealing machinery
- Any assignment as directed per management within the scope of personal capabilities
INDIRECT TASKS
- Housekeeping
- Quality control inspections per customer or Zenith specifications
- Participate in department meetings
RIGHTS & DUTIES
- Works according to priorities set by the Production Manager
- Complies with the regulations and guidelines of conduct in place at Zenith;
- Meets the requirements of safety, hygiene and quality of Zenith
Qualifications:
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to write legibly, to maintain records, and to give and follow oral and written instructions.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
- Lifting of up to 35 pounds frequently
- Able to stand for duration of shift
