Job Title: DIVISION OF LIBERAL ARTS - Instructor/Assistant Professor of Music
Location: Mayville State University, Mayville, ND
Compensation: Hiring Range - $43,907 - $52,688
Position Details: 9-month; full-time

Position Description: The Division of Liberal Arts at Mayville State University is seeking applicants for an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Music.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaching of essential studies music course
- Directing concert choir and band
- Teaching classes related to the music minor
- Working with the Fine Arts series
Required Competencies:
- Demonstrated public speaking abilities
- Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, oral and written
- Grading preparation
- Presentation of materials
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and be self-motivated
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Music or 18 hours of graduate credit in the discipline.
- Some experience in both instrumental and choral areas
- Experience working on a variety of fundraising activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Music
- Teaching experience at the university level of both instrumental and choral areas
