Journeyman HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, hands‐on expertise, and the ability to interpret and execute project specifications with precision.Key Responsibilities:• Read and interpret mechanical plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.• Install and assemble ductwork, piping, and mechanical components in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.• Perform specialized installations including BlueDuct underground duct systems and high‐velocity HVAC systems.• Mount and secure equipment such as air handlers, condensers, furnaces, and coils.• Complete electrical connections, controls, and condensate line routing.• Insulate piping and ductwork, perform pressure testing, system purging, and startup procedures.• Verify system performance through functional testing and temperature differential checks.• Ensure all work meets safety regulations, building codes, and manufacturer guidelines.Qualifications:• Journeyman‐level HVAC certification or equivalent field experience.• Proficiency in reading and applying mechanical plans and construction documents.• Demonstrated experience with BlueDuct installations and high‐velocity HVAC systems.• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, refrigerant handling, and system commissioning.• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and client satisfaction.Company DescriptionMayo Mechanical is an HVAC & Hydronic Installation/repair company based in Irvine.
