Responsibilities
As our Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties
- Utilize your expertise to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings and solar projects.
- Participate in the design and layout of solar electric systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, identifying any faults or issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Collaborate with a team of skilled professionals on large-scale solar installation projects.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Assist in the training and mentoring of apprentice electricians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management, providing regular updates on project progress and any issues encountered.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Journeyman Electrician, preferably within the construction industry.
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license (J-Card).
- Proven experience with commercial and solar projects, including design and installation.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively on large projects.
- Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest industry developments, technologies, and regulations.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
