What You’ll Do
- Communicate with teachers and appropriate staff on the progress and needs of individual students
- Provides teachers with consultation regarding physical therapy profiles and appropriate short- and long-term objectives within the individualized education plans (IEP) when appropriate
- Providing in-services to classroom staff
- Provides the teacher with instructions and support necessary for them to carry out daily physical therapy programs with all children (STO’s, Rehabilitative Guidelines)
- Observe classrooms regularly, providing brief correction/positive feedback and suggestions to the teachers as needed
- Consulting with classroom staff regarding students' PT needs
- Providing direct service when deemed necessary
- Performing related physical therapy services as assigned
- Preserves the rights of each student and family
- Graduate of an approved program in physical therapy
- Valid and current license as a PT in Massachusetts
- Demonstrated commitment to student progress
- Ability to multitask and take initiative in multitasking
- Finds enjoyment working with a multi-disciplinary team
