What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Supply Store Laborer position at May Day Outdoor Services?
Hi, I'm Kathryn, and I own May Day Outdoor Services out on Apalachee Parkway. We're a garden center, bulk landscape yard, and design-build company that's been part of Tallahassee since 1985.
I'm looking for someone to be my right hand around the yard. Honestly, it's a little bit of everything: watering, keeping the grounds tidy, setting up and refreshing plant displays, fixing the small stuff that breaks, and jumping in wherever help is needed that day. If you've got experience running a skid steer, that's a huge plus and I'd love to hear about it.
You don't need to be a plant expert. I'm happy to teach you as we go. What matters most to me is that you show up when you say you will, don't mind getting dirty or working in the Florida heat, and notice when something needs doing without being asked. If you can lift 50 lbs and like working outside, we'll probably get along great.
It's a small, local business, so your work really shows here, and no two days look the same.
Schedule: flexible, but hrs would be between Mon-Fri 8-5
If this sounds like you, send me a quick note about yourself and any equipment you've run. A fancy resume isn't necessary.
