Warehouse Picker
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Picker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for selecting and preparing products for shipment while ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the fulfillment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products based on customer orders using scanners and handheld devices.
- Verify picked items for quality, quantity, and damage before shipment.
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and walkie riders (where certified and applicable).
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow established warehouse procedures and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.
This is a physically demanding warehouse position involving furniture and large boxed products. Candidates should be comfortable performing the following essential job functions:
- Lift, move, push, or pull products weighing up to 150 pounds with assistance and/or equipment when necessary.
- Frequently and repetitively lift products weighing 50 pounds or more throughout the workday.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive physical movements for extended periods of time.
- Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting productivity and safety expectations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, distribution center, or logistics experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment.
- Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
