Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Operations Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective warehouse processes within the forklift department. This leadership role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage a team to meet productivity and safety goals.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the day-to-day operations of the forklift department
Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations within the warehouse
Coordinate and optimize warehouse processes to meet operational goals and improve efficiency
Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance their skills and maintain high levels of performance
Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to daily workflow
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, logistics) to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of orders
Implement and enforce warehouse best practices to improve quality, reduce waste, and enhance safety
Prepare reports and metrics related to forklift performance, highlighting areas for improvement
Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery
Requirements
Proven experience in warehouse operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage a team, provide clear direction, and motivate employees
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of WMS software is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or relevant certifications preferred
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and work in physically demanding conditions
Forklift certification (preferred)
