We are hiring for Housekeeping Attendants for Maxime’s!
Maxime’s is the newest opening from the club owner and entrepreneur Robin Birley; owner of prestigious private member’s clubs 5 Hertford Street and Oswald’s in London.
Maxime’s is located on Madison Avenue, New York on the site of the former Westbury Hotel and will continue the long-established Birley tradition of providing exceptional experiences to our members and guests. Our members will feel as though they are in a private home, enjoying outstanding food and wine surrounded by stunning decor.
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Housekeeping Attendant at Maxine's, you will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of Maxine’s Club and office spaces. The ideal candidate is highly attentive to detail and takes pride in creating welcoming, spotless environments that leave a positive, lasting impression on both members and colleagues. This position requires a high level of trust, integrity, and confidentiality, as well as a commitment to professionalism and warmth in all interactions
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform cleaning duties in all public areas, including dining rooms, lounges, event spaces, restrooms, hallways and office.
- Ensure all surfaces, furniture, and fixtures are clean, well-maintained, and free from dust or debris.
- Stock and maintain supplies such as paper products, cleaning materials, and hygiene essentials in designated areas.
- Support event set-up and break-down, ensuring that spaces are organized and presentable before and after gatherings.
- Ensure waste is properly disposed of and recycling procedures are followed.
- Report maintenance issues and unsafe conditions to the appropriate team members.
- Uphold a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with members and colleagues.
- Assist with any special cleaning requests from management or members, maintaining flexibility and attention to detail.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
- Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to be flexible with job demands and open-minded when being asked to complete tasks.
- Ability to operate and use all the equipment necessary to run the restaurant.
- Ability to operate with grace under pressure.
- Ability to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant is generally weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
- Ability to stand for up to 8-10 hours a day.
