As a senior/staff software engineer on our AI Agents team, you will take the lead on building and scaling the core agentic systems that power real-world enterprise accounting automation. This role spans the full lifecycle of AI agent architecture, implementation, deployment, and optimization. You’ll confront and solve hard distributed systems and intelligent automation challenges, working closely with stakeholders at the intersection of software engineering, AI, and enterprise operations.

Key Challenges
- Build and evolve our agentic systems that perform and orchestrate complex accounting automation using AI.
- Scale the AI Agents platform to support large and rapidly growing enterprise workloads.
- Architect durable, highly-available, and scalable financial data processing layers to support the work of agents.
- Construct low-latency, extensible infrastructure to enable the deployment and iteration of next-gen agents.
- Solve intricate enterprise accounting workflows through robust, composable abstractions and AI-driven automation.
What We're Looking For
- Typically 5 years building backend systems at high-growth, high-scale technology companies.
- Demonstrated experience architecting, building, or maintaining AI agent harnesses and agentic platforms.
- Strong familiarity with web development, relational databases, distributed and data-intensive systems.
- Proven ability to design, deploy, and iterate on scalable infrastructure and automation components for AI-driven workflows.
- Deep interest in AI agent architectures, workflow engines, data pipelines, or mission-critical automation in domains like fintech or enterprise software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, and an eagerness to contribute cross-functionally.
