What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gluing Feeder/Catcher position at Max Solutions, Inc.?
We are hiring an experienced Folder/Gluer Operator to join our team in Sturgis, Michigan. We are hiring for both our 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Responsibilities
- Support production operations by preparing materials and ensuring readiness between jobs
- Verify job specifications and ensure materials and documentation are accurate and aligned
- Assist with equipment setup and changeovers as required
- Monitor production processes to identify quality issues or equipment concerns
- Inspect products for defects and remove non-conforming materials
- Package finished goods according to specifications and labeling requirements
- Ensure accurate counts, labeling, and documentation of completed work
- Communicate effectively with operators and team members to resolve issues and maintain workflow
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards
- Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting when needed
- Support training and onboarding of team members as required
- Perform other duties as required
- Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
Qualifications/Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience, specifically printing or packaging is preferred.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as job tickets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
- Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other employees and management.
- Must be able to maintain good attendance and be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction
Physical Requirements
- Physical ability and stamina sufficient to maintain continuous physical effort throughout shift, including frequent lifting, standing, stooping, bending, reaching and twisting.
- Physical strength and ability sufficient to perform manual labor for extended periods of time.
- Manual labor is defined as exerting force sufficient to lift up to 50 lbs.
