Our client headquartered in Franklin County, Georgia, is seeking a SolidWorks Design Engineer This position will report directly to VP of Engineering and is pivotal in creating, reviewing, and updating production drawings using SolidWorks CAD tools and PDM.
The applicant must possess a deep understanding of CAD principles, PDM workflows (Admin a ) and documentation ownership. Excellent experience in SolidWorks best-practices, drawing creation and configuration, using SolidWorks design-tables and developing CAD libraries in PDM. This role will include associated tasks in production drawings, reverse engineering, possible technical publication and manual writing responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
- Creation of precise SolidWorks 3D & 2D Drawing data for manufactured products.
- Drive efficiencies in SolidWorks CAD configurations, design-table automation, CAD libraries and documentation processes.
- Work with leadership, project managers and technical teams to deliver high-quality deliverables.
- Deliver and present documentation and designs as required, capture requirements and use cases as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Associates or Bachelors Degree, in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution preffered.
- Experience designing with Sheetmetal / Weldments for hollow-steel part fabrication and production.
- Demonstrated expert experience with SolidWorks CAD for production.
- Experience in creating SolidWorks design-tables / configurations driving automation.
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM, as administrator, or as end-user.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills, able to identify problems, and think creatively to solve challenges.
- Experience with Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Ability to multi-task and communicate in a fast paced, technical environment with high adaptability and flexibility.
- Experience guiding and helping to train design teams in process and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified SolidWorks Associate / Professional in Mechanical Design (CSWA/CSWP).
- DriveWorks experience.
