Job Description:
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
To assist the Company’s Drivers in adhering to and implementing company policies and procedures. Provide guidance in matters of OSHA and DOT regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the Safety Direct System, classifying each event and coaching drivers to better performance.
2. Identify and anticipate Safety and Health concerns and hazards by observing and surveying operational and occupational conditions; rendering opinions on new equipment and procedures; investigating violations and recommending preventative programs.
3. Comply with Federal, State and Company Safety Regulations by interpreting standards, enforcing adherence to regulations and advising management on needed actions.
4. Prepare safety reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
5. Provide assistance to drivers by helping with securement and tarping problems, interpreting company policies and procedures as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as administrative skills, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 12-18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Shop environment where continuously exposed to several elements such as, noise, intermittent standing, walking; and occasional pushing, carrying, or lifting. Also, may have exposure at times to the outside weather elements.
