Straightener Operator

Operating out of our Warsaw, IN facility, the Straightener Operator ensures that components meet precise straightness specifications by following established work instructions. This role is available on the 2nd shift.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure parts are properly straightened to satisfy all client specifications.
• Verify paperwork accuracy and part counts within the straightening zone before transitioning items to the next stage.
• Prioritize urgent orders moving through the department to help ensure timely delivery to our customers.
• Execute production tasks while adhering to standard operational guidelines.
• Uphold strict quality standards to ensure all output meets customer expectations.
• Analyze blueprints and operation sheets to identify the necessary steps for each task.
• Provide updates on critical job progress to the Manufacturing Manager or Departmental Supervisor.
• Participate in cross-training initiatives across various finishing departments.
• Adhere to all organizational regulations and operational protocols.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Possess the skills to interpret blueprints and operation sheets to determine the correct production path.
• Proficiency in utilizing dial indicators for measurement.
• Strong communication skills to foster positive interactions with team members.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs to support physical production requirements.
• Show initiative and the ability to thrive in a high-speed production setting.
• Hold a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent credential.
