Plant Operations Director

As a Plant Operations Director, you will lead the strategic and daily execution of our blown film, extrusion, and converting production lines. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing manufacturing throughput to meet high-volume production goals.

• Champion a culture of safety by enforcing rigorous EHS protocols and maintaining high standards of 5S organization.
• Maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by managing daily production schedules, resin inventory, and machine uptime.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and lower conversion costs.
• Partner with the quality department to ensure all flexible films and packaging products meet strict ISO and food-safe certification standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supervisors and technical staff to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Oversee operational budgets, including labor costs and capital equipment investments, to ensure financial efficiency.
• Serve as the primary liaison for customer updates and internal cross-functional communications regarding plant activities.

Required Skills

• 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing manufacturing P&L and operational budgets.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and production monitoring software.
• Proven ability to lead root cause analysis (RCCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Technical expertise in polymer science, blown film extrusion, and Flexo printing processes.
• Experience in food and beverage packaging manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale capital equipment installation projects.
