About the Role
As a Field Furniture Restoration Specialist, you will be the face of our service team, providing expert on-site repairs to restore furniture to its original quality. You will utilize your technical skills in upholstery, leather care, and wood refinishing to ensure every customer receives a high-quality, seamless experience in their own home.
Responsibilities- Execute precise repairs on upholstery, leather, and case goods to achieve like-new results.
- Perform surface refinishing, color matching, and structural rebuilds for damaged furniture.
- Assess damage severity and determine the most efficient, high-quality restoration method.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools, including drills and multi-tools, with a focus on safety.
- Manage a mobile service route, ensuring timely arrivals and maintaining an organized, well-stocked service vehicle.
- Document repair outcomes and communicate effectively with warehouse teams regarding recurring product issues.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring clients are satisfied with the restoration process.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of hands-on experience in furniture repair, leather restoration, or wood finishing.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in English with strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a mobile service schedule.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with spray booth equipment and advanced finishing techniques.
- Technical aptitude for learning internal service software and reporting systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and reaching.
