Electro-Mechanical Systems Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot industrial facility systems. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime. Strong analytical abilities and a proactive approach are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure operational efficiency.
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and optimize equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with AC and DC drives, as well as motor control circuits, enhancing overall system reliability.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repairs.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• 2-year Industrial Electrical Degree or 1-2 years equivalent experience in an industrial setting.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude with proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, including basic ohms-law application.
• Familiarity with pneumatics and hydraulic systems.

Preferred Skills

• Welding experience.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
• Boiler Operator Certification.
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
