About the Role
As a CNC Machinist (also known as Precision Toolmaker, Machine Operator), you will play a critical role in our production cycle by transforming raw materials into high-precision components. You will leverage your expertise in CNC programming and manual machining to ensure that every tool, fixture, and gauge meets rigorous quality standards, directly impacting the efficiency of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities- Interpret complex blueprints, CAD/CAM files, and G-code to execute precise machining operations.
- Program, set up, and operate CNC and manual equipment to produce high-quality parts.
- Apply advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Optimize machine performance by adjusting feeds, speeds, and tooling configurations for maximum output.
- Fabricate and maintain custom fixtures, jigs, and dies to support ongoing production needs.
- Perform rigorous quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, strictly adhering to all industrial safety and ergonomic protocols.
Required Skills
- Completion of a formal Machinist Apprenticeship or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating both manual and CNC machine tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Basic computer literacy for programming and data entry tasks.
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
