Fortis is seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to guide welding operations.
- Prepare and clean metal surfaces for welding.
- Select and use appropriate welding equipment and consumables.
- Inspect welds for quality and structural integrity.
- Maintain and adjust welding equipment as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- 2 years of relevant welding experience OR completion of a welding apprenticeship.
- Strong safety awareness and work ethic.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be located within a commutable distance to Greendale, IN

- Competitive pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour- DEPENDING on years of experience
- Performance bonus at 90 days

- 1st Shift: 4 10's: Monday-Thursday, 6:30AM- 5PM (occasional overtime)
- 2nd Shift: 4:45- 3:15 am
- Workshop setting with moderate to loud noise levels.
- Potential exposure to hazards such as sharp objects and moving equipment.
Salary : $18 - $28
