Maverick is partnering with a high-growth SaaS company to find a Manager of Revenue Accounting who wants to own the numbers behind a scaling recurring-revenue business.
This is a hands-on, individual-contributor seat — but make no mistake, it's a build role. You won't be inheriting a machine that already hums; you'll be the one shaping the processes, controls, and systems that let revenue scale cleanly. For the right person, there's real runway to grow as the business does.

What You'll Own
- The full quote-to-cash cycle — accurate at every step, from the first order form through invoicing, billing, and collections.
- Sharper workflows and tighter internal controls across contracts, revenue accounting, and billing, so the operation scales without cracking.
- The in-house authority seat on the billing and revenue systems, keeping bookings, billings, and recognition moving in lockstep.
- Review of contract changes — their recognition impact, correct system treatment, and clean handling under ASC 606.
- Revenue recognition that stays aligned with ASC 606 and internal accounting policy.
- The monthly close across revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Audit support — internal and external — from documentation to answering auditor questions.
- Reporting and analysis that turn revenue data into something leadership can act on.
What Makes You a Fit
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Five-plus years in revenue accounting.
- SaaS or subscription-based experience — required. This is the environment you'll live in.
- A strong command of GAAP and ASC 606 recognition standards.
- Familiarity with billing and revenue platforms like Zuora or Zone Billing is a plus.
- NetSuite exposure preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Analytical, organized, and relentless about accuracy.
- Clear communicator, on the page and in the room.
