Medical Courier – Independent Contractor (1099) – Western & Northern PA Routes
Maverick Global Transportation is looking for reliable independent contractors to run medical courier routes based out of West Mifflin, PA. You pick up pharmacy deliveries and drop them at healthcare facilities along your route.
Routes
- Recurring long-distance routes serving the Johnstown, Titusville, Smethport and Hastings areas
- Routes run about 250–375 miles each
- Some days you can run two routes back to back (about 560 miles, roughly $399 gross)
Pay
- $0.58 per mile on every route, plus $8–$10 per facility stop depending on the route
- Typical gross pay is $194–$248 per route
- Example: 248.81 miles × $0.58 = $144.31, plus 5 stops × $10 = $50, for $194.31 gross
- Payout fees: route pay is listed before fees. Contractors choose weekly pay (9% fee) or cash out completed work on request (13% fee). For example, a $206.28 route nets about $187.71 with weekly pay or $179.46 with on-request cash-out.
What you need
- Your own reliable vehicle. Fuel is your expense, so plan for 250–375 miles per run.
- A valid driver's license
- A smartphone to log stops in the EC Mobile courier app
- Ability to work as a 1099 independent contractor (this is not an employee position)
- Dependable, professional and comfortable with long solo drives
