We are looking for a motivated, ambitious, and dedicated candidate with prior experience in underwriting and merchant cash advance to join our team. You will be responsible for performing underwriting of both renewals and new deals, conducting merchant interviews, bank verifications and reviewing the overall business profile to determine fundability. Prior MCA experience is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth financial analysis and review various reports and financial documents to determine merchant’s creditworthiness;
- Conduct merchant interviews, bank verifications and final funding calls with prospective clients;
- Make final calls on deal approvals, decline decisions and stipulations;
- Collaborate closely with Business Development and Pricing teams to facilitate funding;
- Maintain clear and professional communication with ISOs and merchants via phone and email.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of MCA underwriting experience required;
- Proficient in the financial principles of MCA: cash flow analysis, stacking patterns, assessment of account receivables etc.;
- Practical understanding of "common sense underwriting" and the ability to apply it effectively;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
