This is a full-time, on-site role located in Hialeah, FL, for a Mortgage Underwriter. The Mortgage Underwriter will evaluate and review residential mortgage loan applications ensuring they comply with investor guidelines, regulatory standards, and company policies. Responsibilities include analyzing credit histories, income documentation, and property appraisals, as well as determining loan risks and providing detailed conditions or recommendations. Collaboration with loan processors and loan officers to resolve underwriting issues efficiently is a key component of this role.

• Strong understanding of underwriting guidelines, regulatory compliance, and industry standards
• Experience analyzing financial documents, such as credit reports, income statements, and appraisals
• Excellent attention to detail with skills in risk analysis and decision-making
• Proficient in using mortgage software, spreadsheets, and relevant technology
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred
• Previous experience in underwriting residential mortgage loans is highly desirable
