What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aerospace Manufacturing Estimator position at Maverick Aerospace, LLC?

We’re looking for an experienced Aerospace Estimator to join our team! In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping us win new business by creating accurate cost estimates for projects in the exciting world of aerospace. You will work closely with the Estimating and Sales departments and assist with building service relationships with our customers.
What you’ll do:
- Analyze Engineering drawings, BOM, parts lists, Models and other specifications to understand what needs to be built.
- Research and calculate costs for materials, labor, and any outside services needed for the project.
- Use your knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes to estimate how long each project will take.
- Work with vendors and other departments to get all the info you need for a complete and competitive quote.
- Prepare clear and detailed cost estimates that meet deadlines.
· Utilize CAD software (Glovius) to view and analyze parts/assemblies for specific characteristics (size, weight, features)
· Obtain cost estimates of raw materials, hardware and Outside Process (OP) required for customer quotations.
· Daily communication between customers, internal departments, and vendor contacts via phone and email.
· Assist with current job quoting as required (change orders, etc.)
· Collaborate in daily bid strategy.
· Assist in proposal preparation and special reporting.

· Periodic walk-throughs of manufacturing areas to understand project status.
· May be require occasional weekend effort to meet company objectives.
· Any additional duties assigned by manager.
You’re a great fit if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A strong understanding of metalworking, machining, or similar processes used in aerospace.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent math skills and a knack for working with numbers.
- The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Great communication skills to work with engineers, sales teams, and clients.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software: Familiarity with a widely used ERP system, such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, is essential.
- Model-Based Definition (MBD) interpretation: You should be able to understand and interpret engineering data expressed in MBD formats, such as ASME Y14.46.· This position requires viewing of ITAR data and applicant must be “U.S. Person” as defined (EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15)
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with cost estimating software programs.
- A college degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures in aerospace manufacturing.
- Background in sales and customer service

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
