CNC Set-Up Technician
Maval Industries LLC is an environmental automotive market in sustainability located in Twinsburg, OH. • 4 - 10-hour Shifts (Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 4:00pm with occasional Friday overtime)
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and prepare CNC machines (lathes, mills, etc.) for production runs
• Install tooling, fixtures, and attachments according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
• Perform first-piece inspections to ensure quality standards are met
• Adjust machine offsets and make necessary corrections during production
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Collaborate with programmers, operators, and quality teams
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure machines are in proper working condition
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
• 2 years of CNC set-up experience (lathe and/or mill)
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Basic knowledge of G-code and CNC programming preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Able to prioritize work schedule to execute in order of importance
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with multi-axis CNC machines
• CNC certification
• Experience in automotive or remanufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for up to 9 hours a day
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of parts and tools
