What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chocolate Sommelier / Bartender position at Maui Ku'ia Estate Chocolate, Inc.?
Aloha! Maui Ku‘ia Estate Chocolate is looking for a personable, self-motivated, and dependable Chocolate Sommelier to join our team. This is a unique position - you’ll be part bartender, part server, and part chocolate guide, creating memorable experiences for every guest who visits our open-air pavilion overlooking Lahaina.
You’ll be responsible for welcoming guests, checking in chocolate tour attendees, taking and serving orders, pouring beverages, leading chocolate tastings, and maintaining a clean, well-organized workspace. In this role, you are your own bartender, server, busser, and dishwasher - independence and initiative are essential.

Requirements
- Strong communication and hospitality skills - must enjoy interacting with guests.
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Must be at least 21 years old and able to obtain (or already have) a Hawai‘i liquor license.
- Comfortable with light physical tasks (bussing tables, washing glassware, restocking, etc.).
- Prior bartending or serving experience preferred but not required.
