After-School One-on-One Support Staff – Pāʻia Elementary (A+ Program)

The Maui Family YMCA is seeking reliable, compassionate individuals to provide one-on-one afterschool support for 2 elementary-aged students at Pāʻia Elementary School through our A Program.

This role supports students who benefit from close adult supervision, structured routines, and consistent behavioral strategies in a group afterschool setting. The position takes place on campus at Pāʻia Elementary during A program hours and focuses on safety, regulation, and positive engagement.

Compensation:

• $60.80 per day (afternoon hours, school days only, 3-4 hour shifts max)

Responsibilities include:

• Providing one-on-one supervision during afterschool activities and transitions
• Supporting students using established behavioral and regulation strategies
• Assisting with safe participation in group activities, outdoor play, and transitions
• Collaborating closely with A site leadership and staff
• Maintaining a calm, supportive presence focused on student safety and success

Requirements:

• Ability to complete background clearance (YMCA supported)
• Willingness to participate in 8 hours of onboarding and training
