Used Vehicle Technician

As a Used Vehicle Technician, you are responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning used inventory vehicles, trade-in vehicles, and dealership-owned internal vehicles to ensure they meet dealership quality and safety standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Perform inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on used vehicle inventory, trade-in vehicles, and dealership-owned internal vehicles.
• Complete used vehicle reconditioning work in accordance with dealership standards and timelines.
• Perform comprehensive used vehicle inspections and document all findings.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and safety-related concerns and perform repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct trade-in evaluations and identify mechanical deficiencies requiring repair or disclosure.
• Determine reconditioning requirements needed to prepare vehicles for retail sale.
• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain required parts and materials.
• Document all work performed, including inspection results and repair recommendations.
• Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to verify repair quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service bays, shop equipment, and work areas.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, dealership policies, and safety requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous automotive technician experience preferred.
• Experience performing used vehicle inspections and reconditioning repairs preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
