Matus International is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Finance Manager to support financial operations and help drive the company’s continued global growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will play a key part in managing financial reporting, budgeting, ERP adoption, and international compliance processes. The Finance Manager will lead day-to-day accounting functions, help transition the company to accrual-based accounting, and provide actionable insights that support leadership decision-making. OBJECTIVES
- Support the development and execution of the company’s financial strategy and expansion planning.
- Assist in the successful ERP system implementation across finance, operations, and inventory functions.
- Lead the transition from cash to accrual accounting and ensure timely and accurate monthly close.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports for CFO and executive team.
- Help reduce operational costs through financial analysis and budget management processes.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international financial regulations, including LATAM reporting standards.
- Manage general ledger integrity, journal entries, and reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Oversee vendor payments, receivables, and cash flow tracking with a focus on accuracy and timing.
- Build and refine budgeting processes across departments with clear variance reporting protocols.
- Develop financial models and forecasting tools to support business planning and investment decisions.
- Support preparation for annual audits, tax filings, and external financial reporting.
- Mentor accounting staff and help scale a high-performing finance team in a bilingual environment.
- Increase gross margin percentage by 3–5% over 18 months through pricing strategy recommendations, cost reduction initiatives, and margin analysis.
- Design and implement a scalable financial infrastructure to support future revenue growth to $100M , including internal controls, audit processes, and capital planning.
- Enhance cash flow forecasting accuracy to within ±5% variance and maintain a 12-month rolling forecast updated monthly.
- Serve as strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team, delivering quarterly financial briefings and scenario planning analyses to support business decisions.
- Build financial dashboards and KPIs that provide real-time visibility into revenue, margin, and operational performance for leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead external audit readiness and coordination, achieving a clean audit opinion each fiscal year with minimal post-audit adjustments.
- Identify and support strategic growth opportunities such as acquisitions, partnerships, or new market entry through financial modeling and due diligence.
COMPETENCIES
- Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and general ledger management.
- Ability to generate reports, analyze trends, and offer insights to leadership.
- Experience with ERP implementation, integration, and system improvements.
- Skilled in departmental budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, capable of supporting international operations.
- Familiarity with tax, audit, and international financial regulations (especially LATAM).
- Able to work cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain leaders.
- Provides support and development opportunities for junior accounting staff.
- Looks for ways to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Strong attention to detail and data-driven problem solving.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling organization with shifting priorities.
- Demonstrates high ethical standards and discretion in all finance matters
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Proven track record of leading accounting and finance teams in a mid-size or global organization
- Hands-on experience transitioning from cash to accrual-based accounting
- Experience with ERP system implementation and financial systems integration
- Strong background in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), forecasting, and budgeting
- Deep understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and international financial compliance
