A leading litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Associate – Professional Liability & General Litigation to join their team, handling a diverse caseload across multiple practice areas. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied docket that includes professional liability, medical malpractice, dental malpractice, public entity defense, general liability, and employment matters.
- Handle depositions, motion practice, hearings, and oral arguments with increasing independence.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs.
- Develop case strategy and provide risk assessment in collaboration with partners.
- Represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative bodies.
- Maintain direct communication with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
- 3–6 years of litigation experience, preferably in professional liability or civil defense.
- Prior deposition and courtroom experience required (motions, hearings, arguments).
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional professionalism, client service skills, and collaborative approach.
Work Environment & Compensation
- Hybrid work schedule available after training.
- Salary range of $160,000 – $180,000, depending on experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and PTO.
Salary : $120,000 - $190,000
