Job Description:
As a Concrete Foreman at MattLane Construction, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of 1-2 crews of skilled concrete finishers and laborers. You will be responsible for the successful execution of commercial/DOT concrete projects, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards and are completed on time. Your leadership will be essential in guiding the team through all phases of concrete placement and finishing, from forming to final touches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage 1-2 crews of 5-6 workers on concrete projects, including forming and placement of concrete
- Read and interpret blueprint plans to ensure work is completed according to specifications
- Ensure concrete projects meet ADA and DOT compliance
- Oversee the accurate estimation of materials and timing for concrete delivery
- Train, mentor, and educate crew members on proper techniques and safety protocols
- Maintain professional communication with team members, clients, and supervisors
- Ensure proper safety measures are followed at all times, creating a safe work environment
Requirements:
- Experience in concrete finishing, including flatwork, curb & gutter, and ADA compliance
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a crew
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints
- Ability to lift 50 lbs safely and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and squatting for extended periods
- Strong understanding of material requirements for each job
- Ability to effectively estimate project materials and delivery timelines
- Willingness to learn and grow—on-the-job training provided!
