Wire EDM Programmer/Operator
Program, set up, and operate Wire EDM equipment to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Requirements of the Wire EDM Programmer/Operator
- Technical/vocational training or 5 years of relevant machining experience.
- Experience programming and operating Wire EDM equipment.
- Ability to create 2- and 4-axis programs using CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, metals, machining, dies, and forming processes.
- Strong shop math skills, including algebra and geometry.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities of the Wire EDM Programmer/Operator
- Read and interpret prints and verify requirements before machining.
- Program, set up, fixture, and operate Wire EDM equipment.
- Adjust machine parameters and settings to optimize production.
- Inspect finished components to ensure quality and dimensional requirements are met.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain necessary supplies and tooling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and other departments to meet production requirements.
- Follow ISO/IATF, safety, environmental, and company procedures.
1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $33.00 - $35.00 an hour, based on experience
