Maintenance Mechanic
Maintain production equipment, machinery, facilities, and grounds to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation while supporting a zero-defect quality environment.
Requirements of the Maintenance Mechanic
- Strong mechanical aptitude through trade school or relevant maintenance experience.
- Basic electrical knowledge with a willingness to continue learning.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Knowledge of production equipment and plant operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
- Ability to machine parts using lathes, mills, and welding equipment.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and return machinery to production-ready condition.
- Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in partnership with Production.
- Perform equipment setups and changeovers as needed.
- Assist with installation, startup, and qualification of new equipment.
- Identify and implement safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including parts and labor, using RedZone.
- Review equipment documentation and update preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop and work areas.
- Assist with facility and equipment projects under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
- Work with and train machine operators as needed.
3rd shift: 11:00PM - 7:00AM Monday through Friday, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $35.00 - $38.00 an hour, based on experience
