Punch Press Operator
We are seeking an experienced Punch Press Operator with hands-on experience operating and setting up punch presses in a metal stamping/manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with press setups, material feeds, quality inspections, and precision measuring tools.
Requirements of the Punch Press Operator
- Hands-on experience operating and setting up punch presses
- Experience with punch presses ranging from 10–300 tons
- Experience setting up mechanical, servo, or air feeds
- Knowledge of pilot release and material straighteners
- Ability to read vernier/dial calipers and micrometers
- Experience performing in-process quality inspections
- Familiarity with Smart Pac or Wintress press operating systems preferred
- Manufacturing experience required
- Spanish bilingual skills are a plus
Responsibilities of the Punch Press Operator
- Set up and operate punch presses according to job specifications
- Set material feeds and make adjustments as needed
- Perform in-process inspections and verify part dimensions
- Monitor press and die performance and report problems
- Complete production paperwork, part counts, and time records
- Follow packaging and labeling instructions
- Stop production when quality issues are identified
- Follow ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures and safety requirements
1st shift: 6:00AM - 3:30PM Monday through Friday
Pay is $20.00 - $30.00 an hour, based on experience
