Machining/Welding Supervisor
The Machining/Welding Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily operations within a metal manufacturing environment, with direct oversight of machining, welding, and fabrication activities. This role ensures production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and with a strong commitment to quality. The supervisor will play a key role in driving team performance, resolving production challenges, and improving overall shop floor operations.
Requirements of the Machining/Welding Supervisor
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in machining, welding, fabrication, or metal manufacturing environments
- Strong hands-on knowledge of machining operations, welding processes, and metal fabrication practices
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of quality standards, inspections, and continuous improvement practices
- Experience with production scheduling, workflow coordination, and labor management
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems preferred
Responsibilities of the Machining/Welding Supervisor
- Lead and support daily production activities across machining, welding, and related manufacturing areas
- Assign and prioritize work to ensure production goals, quality expectations, and delivery schedules are met
- Monitor productivity, staffing, and equipment performance to maximize operational efficiency
- Train, coach, and develop employees while fostering accountability and teamwork
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and collaborate with internal teams to implement solutions
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and address defects, rework, or process inconsistencies
- Promote and enforce workplace safety procedures and maintain an organized production environment
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase overall shop performance
- Support reporting, documentation, and communication related to production activities

Pay is $30.00 - $35.00 hourly, willing to pay more based on experience
