Job Summary
We’re supporting our client, a leading manufacturer based in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, who is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their growing team. The successful Production Supervisor will oversee daily production activities, coordinate staffing, and ensure that safety, quality, and efficiency standards are consistently achieved. This role supervises operators on the shop floor, drives continuous improvement, and supports smooth, cost-effective manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce a safety-first culture in line with OSHA regulations.
- Supervise and coordinate all activities within designated production areas.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to meet production and quality goals.
- Monitor schedules and workflow to ensure production deadlines are met.
- Support the implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
- Review production records and employee paperwork for accuracy.
- Conduct employee training, provide coaching, and carry out performance reviews.
- Counsel, document, and discipline staff where necessary.
- Patrol production areas to monitor operations, optimize machine run times, and allocate resources effectively.
- Assist with machine set-ups and changeovers when required.
- Communicate workflow priorities clearly to team members and ensure targets are met.
- Contribute to cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of production practices, techniques, and mechanical principles.
- Experience supervising production staff in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Service-oriented, cooperative, and adaptable to change.
- Able to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
